Merri and her mother were always on the run to hid from her mother’s evil fiance. When he found them Merri’s mother killed herself to protect Merriweather from him. The mother used a poison that was in a bracelet given to her by the Hargreaves. So Merri hates Cain and blames him for her mother’s death.

When all is settled and reveled, Merriweather becomes the devoted and loving little sister to Cain. She use to be able to read people's fortune, but her ability is fading.

Age: 28

Occupation: Steward in the Hargreaves home

Riff came from a very good family. When he was in Medical School, his family went bankrupt and he had to leave. He went to work for Alexis Hargreaves, meeting Cain. Later on it is revealed that Riff's family was killed in a fire.

After Alexis's death he leaves Cornwall Castle with Cain for London. Here he becomes the steward, much to uncle Neil's disapproval.

Riff is the only one Cain allows to see the scars on his back, not even Merri knows of the markings.

Dr. Jezebel Disraeli

Jezebel use to be a sweet person before Alexis made him bad. Jezebel hates Cain because he's Alexis's real son. He has a weird obsession with Cain's golden-green eyes. He first appeared in Book Three: Kafka, posing as Dr.Alan, the Hargreaves's family doctor.

Alexis Hargreaves:

Not much is know about Alexis, except that he created the evil group Delilah to kill Cain. He raped his older sister Augusta, which created Cain. He hates Cain with a passionate and wishes only misery to him.
